Solar8 installeras på Världsarvsmuseum i Skule

Länsstyrelsen Västernorrland har köpt två Solar8 som installerats på det nya världsarvsmuseet i Skule. De kompletterar en pelletpanna och genererar el till museet.

On this the unusual steep roof, the solar concentrator
is bolted to a stainless steel rail. The Solar8 was assembled in the Arontis workshop and lifted to the rooftop. When Arontis do larger installations the Solar8 are assembled locally to minimizing transport costs.

The glassed top of the solar concentrator protects from rain and dust. In the background, the Skule Mountain, that previous was almost fully submerged, pressed into the sea by the glacier that covered Scandinavia 10.000 years ago.

The building is located in front of the new museum, visible from the E4 (the main highway connecting the North and the South of Sweden) making it an excellent demonstration installation.
